Biography

Tom and Ellen Dailey, of the Cityline Dancers in Brooklyn, New York are partners in dance and partners in life.
Having taught and deejayed since 1990, Tom and Ellen established the Cityline dancers in 1991. They held classes in various locations around Brooklyn and finally found a permanent home at the American Legion in the Flatbush section of the borough in 1994.
As the Cityline Dancers grew, Tom and Ellen expanded their classes to include Staten Island. They have even had opportunities to teach in Hawaii and Panama. After 15 years, there are over a hundred members to the Cityline Dancers family.
Tom and Ellen have sponsored workshops in New York for many of the top instructors and choreographers in the line dancing world. Joanne Brady, Peter Metelnick, Allison Briggs, John Robinson, Max Perry, Kathy Hunyadi, Lyndy, Kathy Sharpe Arrant and Lawrence, and Junior Willis have all found their way to Brooklyn. They also worked with Darianne and Barry Amato, Jo Thompson, Johnny Montana, Christopher Petri and Chris Watson of Australia.
Over the years, Tom and Ellen have taught at various dance weekends including the Neville, Fallsview, the Pines, Villa Roma and Swan Lake. Currently, they are committed to the Hudson Valley Dance Weekend with Dan and Kelly Albro of Rhode Island’s Mishnock Barn, where they instruct, deejay and organize the karaoke.
Married 30 years, they are the proud parents of Anthony and Marta and grandparents to young Gaetano.
